The “Pulse of the Universe” project is an immersive, interactive multimedia experience connecting users to the cosmos through biofeedback. Utilizing real-time data like heart rate, users influence 3D cosmic visuals, enabling a personalized journey through galaxies, stars, and nebulae. This project uses James Webb Space Telescope (JWST) images, bringing authentic space imagery to life. By combining technology, science, and art, it addresses the challenge of engaging the public with space exploration, making it emotionally resonant and fostering curiosity about the universe and personal reflection.

What does it do?

The “Pulse of the Universe” project creates a personalized cosmic exploration experience, allowing users to control 3D space visuals through their biofeedback, such as heart rate. By integrating images generated by the James Webb Space Telescope (JWST), users interact with authentic visuals of galaxies, stars, and nebulae, which respond to their physiological signals.

How does it work?

Using biofeedback devices (smart watches or heart rate monitors), the user’s pulse data is processed through a custom-built interface, which influences various cosmic visuals. These visuals are rendered in real-time using WebGL and Three.js, creating a dynamic, immersive experience.
